At the end of April 2020, Xiaomi officially released MIUI 12, the company also planned to bring this update to users in four stages from high-end devices to low-cost. Recently, Xiaomi officially confirmed the existence of an upgraded version called MIUI 12.5. If you haven’t already, it has a tradition of updating the current MIUI after a few months of launch, commonly referred to as the x.5 version.
It is known that Xiaomi has confirmed this through a post on the Mi China forum. Accordingly, the MIUI beta versions every week since December 14, 2020 will be suspended to focus on the MIUI 12.5 release. At the same time, this upgrade could launch alongside the high-end Mi 11 model in the near future.
Predictably, MIUI 12.5 will bring small changes and add some new features. The plan to follow 12.5 are versions such as MIUI 11.5, MIUI 10.5, MIUI 9.5 and major upgrade MIUI 13.
Unfortunately it’s not yet clear when to launch, hopefully Xiaomi will roll out version 12.5 for all models currently running MIUI 12.
